The Casino Queen, headquartered in the greater St. Louis, MO, area has completed a beautiful renovation and seeks candidates for
Director of Marketing

Are you an exceptional Marketing Manager or Assistant Director of Marketing in the gaming industry who is ready to move up to a Director position? Then this is the opportunity for you!! We are one of the principal gaming destinations in the greater St. Louis area. Our beautiful complex includes a Casino, Hotel and an RV Park.

Your Role: Using your proven success in advertising, budgeting, strategic planning, and concept development, we will be looking to you to develop, implement and manage the overall marketing strategy of our operations. Using your marketing expertise you will help us to maximize the productivity and profitability of our operations while achieving overall organizational growth objectives within budget guidelines. You will plan, oversee and analyze our advertising and promotion activities including public relations, print, electronic and direct mail outlets. We will expect you to monitor and evaluate local and national market trends as well as our competitors’ sales initiatives to make sure our marketing and sales remain competitive and cutting edge. You will be directing a marketing team of four.

Our Expectations: You must have a minimum of five years of progressive management experience in Marketing in the gaming industry. We will expect you to have professional presentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with the community and the general public. A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or Business, is required. Knowledge of database marketing and analysis is expected, as is experience in advertising, public relations, and special events/promotions.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

The Graphic Designer supports the Advertising Manager and helps with the design and production of printed materials needed by the Marketing and Advertising Departments and other departments throughout the Casino. Responsible for the design and development of direct mail pieces, internal/external signage, billboards, print advertising and branding of the Casino including design, layout and photography selection.

Must have full knowledge of graphic software which is listed below. Be willing to learn upgrades as they come in. Willing to learn multi-media software and keep it updated. To be able to look at a job request form and come up with creative without any assistance as well as recognizing information that is needed for a job, rather than wait for information to be handed down.

Requirements:

Gaming Industry Experience is Preferred But Not Required

Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of creative graphic design. A college degree in Graphic Design is required.

• Ability to use digital cameras and scanners
• Good knowledge of pre-press layout requirements and print production
• Understanding fundamental design principles such as UI, color theory, layout and typography
• Excellent grammar, spelling and attention to detail
• Result oriented, self-motivation and self disciplined
• Exceptional understanding of direct mail, newspaper ads, magazine ads, web design, outdoor boards, company signage, promotional collateral
• Can pass a drug test and state background checks per the Illinois Gaming Board
• Can work 50 hours a week, occasional weekends when needed.
• Can lift 25 pounds

Administration duties include:
• Maintaining color printer and graphics equipment
• Ordering departmental supplies and materials for the graphic department
• Maintain excellent communication with vendors and co-workers
• Keeping up to date with current technology is a must

HOTEL HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR

Summary of Job Description

· Maintain and monitor cleanliness of each guest room.
· Establish quality service standards throughout the entire housekeeping department.
· Monitor and discipline housekeepers, laundry attendants and house persons.
· Enforce all department and company policies, rules and regulations.

Specific Skills/Experience Required

1. Ability to work weekends and Holidays.

2. Able to lift up to 75lbs.

3. Follow directions as presented by management.

4. Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively

5. Maintain an orderly work place.

6. Exhibit Royal Service to all guests.

7. Assist guests in a cheerful and helpful manner.

8. Supervisory background strongly preferred.

9. Previous Housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
